National Cathedral

The National Cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, is a breathtaking example of Gothic Revival architecture. Completed in 1990 after 83 years of construction, the cathedral is adorned with intricate stone carvings, stained glass windows, and flying buttresses reminiscent of medieval European cathedrals. It serves as a spiritual and civic landmark, hosting both religious services and national events.

The cathedral’s interior is equally impressive, featuring a stunning nave, numerous chapels, and a unique collection of gargoyles and grotesques, including the famous Darth Vader grotesque. As a house of worship and a national treasure, the National Cathedral is a place for reflection, art, and history, drawing visitors from around the world.
